Walsh, Long & Company is a manufacturers’ representative agency founded to function as district/regional managers for
non-competing manufacturers of petroleum/chemical handling equipment. Our operating premises are 1) to
recruit and train distributors who market, stock, install and service fuel handling equipment; and 2) to assist and
support major oil, independent oil and hypermarket customers in design, selection, and procurement of fuel handling equipment.
We recognize “TOTAL PACKAGE” service and support as the key to the marketplace.
We have over 60 years combined experience in sales, marketing, construction management, industrial engineering and manufacturing.
We have developed a long positive history with PEI distributors, manufacturers, and architectural firms who specialize in the
design of fueling centers.
Marion Long covers Northern Illinois, including the Chicago metro area and central Wisconsin. Mike
Hempel covers central and southern Illinois, eastern Iowa, eastern Wisconsin, U.P. of Michigan and Missouri. Chris Long
assists all outside sales personnel and manages inside customer support. All of these positions are based out of our Naperville,
IL office. Jeff Hempel is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and covers western Wisconsin, Minnesota, North and South Dakota
western Iowa and Nebraska. Jeff Schmidt is based in Grand Rapids, MI and covers Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.
